Wedding Anniversary Number 4

Ok, the plan was to do 4 dates in 4 days for our 4th Anniversary. Unfortunately, our first date failed. We were going to go to drop off Josie at a neighbor's (thanks Melissa for watching the apartments.) to ride the zip cords and alpine slides, but they were closed. We drove all the way up to Snow Bird for nothing. Their website wasn't very clear and I made a mistake in reading it. Our other three dates were GREAT! First, we dropped off Josie at our neighbor's (thanks Hannah) and headed for Boondock's. I smoked Melanie at go-cart racing. She was crazy though, she kept cutting me off and was very aggressive. I didn't know she had that in her. We then went inside and played arcades. We played ski ball, and as you can see below, Melanie dominated me at Dance Dance Revolution. I must admit, watching Melanie play that game is one of my favorite things to do. She is so cute, and looks so funny when she stomps at it, completely off beat.....haha.....but she did beat me. We also played a fun shooting game, and earned a lot of tickets there. Next was miniature golfing.
Melanie usually puts up a good fight at this, but that was her worst round of golf EVER. She hit the hole, did toilet bowl spinners off the hole, hit it out of the course, and so forth. I played my best game ever. Sorry Melanie, you can't always win! Melanie did nail the final shot though, which triggers a monster to cheer for us and shoot flames up in the sky. I missed that shot. On the way home we stopped for milk shakes. I sure am lucky to be married to Melanie. She is such a fun girl to date. Oh yeah, did I mention why I'm doing this blog? I made a backwards bet....meaning I accidentally said that whoever wins at golfing has to blog about our whole Anniversary. I meant to make the loser blog about everything, but said it wrong, and Melanie is holding me to it.
Friday we went to the Barnum and Bailey Circus. My expectation was that it would be mainly directed towards children, and that I might get bored. After chatting with a friend on facebook I was convinced to go. I took Melanie and Josie, and we all LOVED it!!!! We sat front row in the corner, and had the perfect view. Josie had freedom to walk around, and we had a lil extra leg space. It was nice. We bought a snow cone, popcorn, and cotton candy, so that we could have the full circus experience ;) I'll share each of our favorite parts of the circus. Let's start with Josie. She was a fan of the horses. She neighed, and pointed, and said "oh no" when the stunt riders fell off and jumped back on. Josie liked all the animals. She saw llamas, goats, dogs, horses, tigers, and elephants. Oh my! jk... we were a lil disappointed that we didn't get to see monkeys or lions, but overall, our expectations were far exceeded. Melanie's favorite part of the circus was the Elephants. She was so amazed at all the detailed tricks they performed, especially for being enormous. She also was a fan of the tigers, and I could tell she was a lil nervous, even though there was a big cage protecting us. My favorite part of the circus was the motorcycles that rode in the steal cage. They fit 7 bikers in there, and they all went full speed, zig zagging in every direction. I am amazed they didn't crash and die. I also really liked the acrobatic stuff. The guys on the flying trapezes were incredible. One guy did a triple back flip and was still able to grab hold of his partner. There were a whole bunch of acrobatic chinese teenage boys that were really cool too. There were 20ft sticks hanging from the roof. and they swung back and forth on those until they had enough momentum to jump into the air and do a few flips before landing on the next "stick". We left the circus in awe, and definitely felt like we got our money's worth. Now if only I could afford those seats for a jazz game! Our last date was Crystal Hot Springs. This place is kind of secret to many. It is in honeyville utah(not secret anymore), which is about 7 miles north of brigham city. There are a whole bunch of natural hot springs that fill up a bunch of hot tubs and some cold springs that fill up some swimming pools. It is really invigorating to move from one tub to the next. There are even a few water slides there. I hope you enjoy the secret I just revealed. It is a cool place and is very inexpensive.

Overall we had a great anniversary, and are very happy to be married to eachother, right Melanie?
