OH Santa, OH Santa!!!

On December 19th Elliot and I took Josie to see Santa at the mall. We went later than we planned so the line was long and we really didn't want to wait if she wasn't going to sit on the man's lap. We asked Josie if she wanted to go see santa today. She was so excited. She kept saying, "HO, HO?" Like where is Santa? We finally got there and Josie did not seem interested at all. She was holding on to Elliot pretty tight. This Santa looked so real. I started to believe again. We just told her to wave at Santa and we will sit on his lap next year. She waved and we went on our way back to our car. On our way back through the crowd she told me, "NO HO HO, NO HO HO." I thought that was so funny. As you can tell in the picture this is as close as we could get her to Santa. On Christmas Eve we went to Elliot's aunt and uncle's house for dinner and White elephant gifts. We do this every year. It's always fun to get to know all of elliot's family again. I made 2 banana cream pie's for the party they turned out ok but the whip cream needed more sugar. I need to work on that. For the white elephants gifts elliot brought the wrong present in and so his grandma opened one of Josie's christmas present from "Santa." I was so mad.... I kept telling elliot to go get it but he was so embarrassed he just froze. So I had to be the rude one and tell her that it was josie's gift. (She opened 2 disney movies I had bought her, Nemo and Sword and the Stone. I knew josie really wanted Nemo and I wanted the other one. Disney movies are expensive I couldn't just let her have it. Sorry grandma Evans.) Christmas was great fun. We went to Elliot parent's house in Clinton. The whole family was there to spend it together. We ate a huge breakfast provided by his dad. Then we finally opened presents. Josie loved all of her toys. she got some clothes from her grandma and just had to try them on. She's such a little girl. Josie got this toy microphone from grandma lisa she said it was to help her talk more. Such a good idea.

The whole family got Rock Band. Lisa Decker said we can check it out every once in a while. It is actually really fun. I was pretty uncoordinated but I did do some singing and I tried to do the drums. Elliot did a bunch of singing but he won't let me post any video.
The next day we went down to my parents house for another christmas with my whole family. Well other than Michelle that is China... we missed you Michelle. We ate a wonderful dinner, all the cousin's played, and the gifts were great. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great Christmas and to my other parents in Clinton. It was such a great Christmas.
