FEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

UPDATE: Josie woke up from her nap and she was really in a good mood. I asked her to put her Binky in her bed and she finally did it. I gave her a treat for doing so. Then about a half hour later she went and got it and put it in her mouth. I told her no and she had a tantrum. She was sooooooooo mad. I finally gave in. Then I had a light go off in my head. Cut the Binky. I remember my friend Melissa suggesting to cut the Binky. I asked Josie if we could do so and she nodded yes. I got the scissors out and cut it. I showed Josie and she tried to put it back together. Then she tried to put it back in her mouth and she realized that it wouldn't stay in. I thought she would have a melt down. She was actually fine. I told her to throw it away because it was broken and she did it. She hasn't said a thing about it and its been about 4 hours. Melissa you are a miracle worker. Hope it works.

I'm so glad its nap time. Today I told Josie that she could only have her Binky when she was going to bed. (Thanks Lisa for the idea) She was not happy. I kept trying to distract her with other things she could do.We played out in the snow
We watched a movie, Ate food, and played with the pots and pans. It was helping until nap time. She started acting out, throwing things, and dumping things out. I didn't notice how attached she was. She is so much more whinny and noise without it. (A good thing she is talking a lot more) She cried a lot today. I felt bad but at the same time it is just time. I can't go back now. Hopefully it will continue to work.

My little guy is quite addicted to his binky, too! I'm worried we're going to have a day like that here pretty soon! Good luck to you!

Good job! Stay tough. It only took Allison 3 days and she got over it. The older they are, the harder it is, we know. You can do it!

That's the right attitude. Sounds like you're learning right along w/her! Thanks for helping me out w/the keys today. You're a great friend! Way to be strong and maybe josie will warm up to us enough to play and give you a break.

Melanie your hair is getting so long. Thanks for your comments, you're my faithful commenter if that's a word. That's good that Josie is slowly getting rid of her binkie. Brayden never really took one very well so I guess that's one thing I don't have to worry about.
miss ya

Good luck. I hope it keeps working for you! I used to think I was lucky because Ethan never really took a binky. And we never had a hard time getting him to give up his bottle or sippy cup. But instead he sucks his thumb. Goin' on four years now. Too bad you can't cut that up and throw it out!
Now I'm a little worried b/c Kamryn also won't take a binky--but she sticks her hands in her mouth every chance she gets!
Anyway, I hope she catches on quick so you don't lose your sanity! :)
